Vince Zampella of Respawn Entertainment is branching out

We all know Vince Zampella as being the Head of Respwan Entertainment which is the company responsible for bringing us this year’s smash hit Titanfall. Well Vince has decided to branch out into mobile gaming.

Teamed up with Larry Pacey, Vince will create a new studio called Nuclear Division that is dedicated to mobile gaming.
Now don’t panic just yet, Vince will still stay on as the Head of Respawn Entertainment, this new venture will just see him take on the roles of investor, adviser and board member of Nuclear Division.

GamesBeat have reported from an interview they held with both Vince and Larry, that the reason they are forming this new mobile gaming platform is the test out some new concepts they have in game development.
“There is this whole other marketplace in mobile that can take advantage of innovative creative content,” Pacey said. “The two of us are starting a new venture to create this.”
“But mobile is growing so fast, it’s silly to ignore,” Zampella said. “It’s a device that I play on because I always have it with me. It always connected. You’re engaged with it. There’s something you can do with that. I’m not saying one is better than the other, in terms of console versus mobile. It’s a different gaming experience. Both interest me.”
This is very interesting news, we have just seen the amazing creation that is Titanfall come to life, so I am quite excited to see where they take this. As of yet no information has been provided about what type of games they are developing or when we can start to expect them so be sure to check back in at PlayBack Gaming as we will most certainly keep you updated.
