Some fun things you get to see are several of the gym leaders that you will be battling against. In a way, it shouldn’t be too surprising as Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are reboot/redesigns of previous entries to the Pokemon franchise. You also get to see some of the Elite 4 that you will be able to engage into battle as well; it almost feels as if it’s allowing you to cheat by seeing what each gym leader will be specializing in.
There is also the ability to dress up your Pokemon; as if fighting them weren’t enough. So far there have only been shots of Pikachu, so there is no telling how much of an extent this new feature will go. A new feature shown in the trailer is the secret bases clip. It looks as if you get to have your own secret base and the ability to customize them how you would like. So far it seems to be limited, however this is still more than what you could do with previous entries. It is entirely possible that you will be able to invite friends to check out your secret base and treat it as if it were a gym all in it’s own.
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are set to be released on November 21, 2014, exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS.
