While rumors have been circulating recently about EA charging gamers to play trials of their games, turns out it is only partially right. EA Access is coming to the Xbox One offering a service that will allow subscribers to play as much as they want of select games. Currently, the system is planned to go into Beta with select users and then proceed to be released on the Xbox One. There will be two options: monthly for $4.99 or yearly for $29.99.
Subcribers will get benefits that include a 10% discount on digital content for EA games and early access to demos.
Surprisingly, retail giant GameStop is fully on board with this deal and will even sell memberships to it’s consumers.
Aside from that it is unknown currently if this service will extend to other platforms. It is also unknown on what games will be available at launch. The beta will feature FIFA 14, Madden 25, Peggle 2 & Battlefield 4.
