NHL 2K set to ‘bounce’ onto your mobile device

2K Sports announced today that they will be resurrecting their NHL franchise but just for the gamers on mobile devices, Android & iOS.

The game is being developed between Visual Concepts and Virtuos Games, priced at $7.99 and will release “later this fall”.

This looks as if this is going to be a serious, in depth NHL game for your mobile device with the following game modes:

  • Season mode
  • Free skate
  • Shootout
  • MyCareer
  • Winter Classic modes
  • Three-on-three competitive minigame
  • Live roster updates

2K released this nice graphic about the NHL 2K franchise.

Even though this is not a physical product, there will still be a “cover” athlete, and Vancouver Canucks star Ryan Kesler will be that guy.

Hmmm…. Maybe this is just one small step into bringing back the NHL 2K franchise to the consoles… only time will tell.

Keep it locked to PlayBack Gaming as more details surrounding this game are announced, we will bring them to you.
