Final Fantasy XV's Director has revealed the approximate completion time of the full game and the upcoming demo.
“Tabata: I think in general the play time is about an hour. However, that’s if you use the car to get around. By the way, you can also play it for additional challenges, so you can spend more time with it. For example, in order to obtain a strong weapon, you can venture into the dungeon that has monsters stronger than the ones above ground.”
“I’m assuming that the actual game will take about 40 hours to clear, so comparing it in simple terms, the demo is about 1/40th of the actual game’s content. (Laughs)” (Translation From SQEX)
Now you might be thinking that’s a really short Demo for a game we have all been waiting years for but don’t forget what he just said “However, that’s if you use the car to get around”. Well if what Square-Enix recently said on a livesteam is to be believed then he is telling the truth. Square-Enix say that the upcoming demo “Episode Duscae” is set in the Duscae region of Final Fantasy XV. (Livestream Translated by Siliconera)
The Demo itself will showcase all kinds of features that we can expect to see in the final game, to which they pointed out “are still in development” and we will have about three to four hours’ worth of gameplay and dungeons to explore. But they did say what won’t be in the demo “The demo won’t have any boss fights”, but Square Enix states that there will be something even more impressive, which will have huge impact on fans of the Final Fantasy series. A rewind button on Final Fantasy XIII?
So are you excited about Final Fantasy XV? Can you believe it’s so close from being finished? And what about that car!
