What’s Hot in Gaming Releases This Week!! (12.01.14)

A new week of releases is upon us. Check out what games will be releasing this week. *These releases are accounted for North America only. This is also not the complete list of every release.*

December 2nd

Game of Thrones – A Telltale Games Series (PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

maxresdefault
Last week we had Tales From The Borderlands, which I still haven’t had a chance to play through, and this week we get a Game of Thrones game from TellTale Games. If you unfamiliar with how TellTale Games work, allow me to explain that. GoT will be a point & click adventure game, released in 6 different episodes, that force you to make choices that will have an impact throughout the series, just like the other TellTale Games releases are. I’m not even familiar with GoT at all, but since I’m a TellTale Games fanboy, I am seriously considering picking this up down the road next year, ha!

Please note that the PS3 release isn’t releasing until next week, just a heads up for the PS3 folks out there.

The Crew (PC, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

the-crew-The Crew is an open and persistent world racing game, which takes 90 minutes drive from coast to coast in real time. The single player campaign will take you roughly 20 hours to complete, and it features the voice of Troy Baker as the protagonist..

Kingdom Hearts II.5 HD ReMIX (PS3)

maxresdefault (1)Here we have the remaster of the classic PS2 game, Kingdom Hearts along with some extra goodies as well. Kingdom Hearts II.5 HD ReMIX will include the following games: Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (just as cinematic retelling), Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix (first time the final mix will be released outside of Japan) and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix (first time the final mix will be released outside of Japan). Seeing as Kingdom Hearts II is one of my 5-10 favorite games of all-time, I was freaking ecstatic when this came to be.

December 3rd

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare (Xbox 360, PS3)

MedievalWarfare_102612_coverChivalry: Medieval Warfare is a multiplayer focused game set during the middle ages. The fictional nation of Agatha, is under a civil war and you have two sides to pick from and have several characters classes to choose from. This looks rather enticing and at $15, I’m definitely going to have to pick it up down the road. And just a heads up folks, this is a digital only title.

December 5th

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Wii U)

captain-toad-logo-banner-artwork-600x325If you played Super Mario 3D World, then you surely remember the Captain Toad minigames, which i thought were alot of fun. And the moment I saw video footage of this game, I wanted to have it just then. One major plus is that Nintendo is only pricing it at $39.99, what a steal.

NES Remix Pack (Wii U, 3DS)

nesr2aThis is a physical release of the eShop games NES Remix 1+2. These are remixed versions of classic NES games. I am so glad they made this available as a physical copy as now, I don’t have to waste my precious hard drive spacer on the Wii U. The 3DS version is titled Ultimate NES Remix.

Looks like we have a bunch of great titles coming out this week, I sure hope you’ve got your money ready. Be sure to enjoy whichever game(s) you decide to spend your money on, and as always, happy gaming!!

PlayBack Gaming’s choices for the week:

Bella Ryse: The Crew

iDizzy81: Chivalry: Medieval Warfare

Conor M: Game of Thrones – A Telltale Games Series

Me (Bobby): Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 ReMIX, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker & NES Remix Pack
