Evolve is about to commence an Open BETA on the Xbox One, other platforms to follow suit afterwards

If you are one of the unlucky few who were not able to participate in the first Evolve BETA on the Xbox One over the holiday, we have some great news for you.

Starting tomorrow, January 15th, Xbox One owners with a gold membership will be able to download the open BETA to try it out for the second time.

For those who have pre-ordered the digital game it gets even more special. Everything that you unlock over the course of this BETA will be carried over to the final game, once it releases on February 10th.

The BETA will consist of two monsters and eight hunters and will be played across a total of 12 maps. All of the maps will have the “Hunt” game mode. A dynamic campaign mode will be unlocked on January 17th that Turtle Rock Studios believes will create a massive amount of a variety of gaming possibilities.

Also on the 17th, the PlayStation 4 will be holding a closed technical test. This is pretty much an invite only if you had participated in the Big Alpha and will be held till the end of this testing period. PC gamers will be able to play their Alpha beginning on January 16th if you have received an invite or own BioShock: Infinite or Left 4 Dead on Steam.

The final day of the BETA and Alpha testing will be January 19th.

Evolve will be released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on February 10th.
