Respawn Entertainment CEO, Vince Zampella, has confirmed that Titanfall 2 is currently in development. What’s more, confirmation of the title being multiplatform has now fallen from the top of Respawn.
Speaking to IGN Zampella stated “, So we’re working on a sequel. No official name yet, but we’re working on that. That’s the main focus but we’re starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too. Small, exploratory, taking it slow! It’ll be multiplatform.”
When speaking about the possibility of a more single player experience, Zampella said that while they tried to mix it up to be different they wouldn’t have done the original title to the franchise any different. There was no indication if there will be a move inclusive single-player campaign.
Lastly Zampella did give praise about Evolve’s current multiplayer model of offering occasional free maps to it’s players. “I think that’s a fantastic way to do it. I think having the maps like that in packs, it does split the community and it makes it harder for matchmaking, it’s messy. Yeah. I don’t know we won’t do it again, I can’t say that for sure, but the idea would be to do something different.”
There has been no announcement of a release date or even a time frame, however with EA’s suggested release model it might indicate a next year release.
