It looks more and more like the rumours from last year about the next instalment in the series being set in Victorian London to be true. Along with some teaser images and clues hidden within them Ubisoft announced that they will be revealing more of the details on 8:30am PT on Tuesday, May 12th (11:30am ET or 4:30pm GMT). We of course will have all the latest on this on the site so make sure your checking back for regular updates and following our Facebook page.
The first giant clue in the image is “God Save the Queen” which along with “Rooks” which is the name for a bird native to the UK and “God Save the Queen being an English motto, we know already this Assassin’s Creed is going to be in England.
Since England hasn’t had a lot reigning Queens and the fact that also in this image we have a quote “We forge the chains we wear in life” from Charles Dickens. This quote was in one of his books published in 1845 which puts us almost 20 years into the reign of Queen Victoria.
All of these make us more sure we can confirm the leaks from earlier this year.
Which if you remember had you using a grappling gun and fighting on top of horse pulled carriages. If you visit Ubisoft’s website here you can also hear the sound of Big ben playing and the bustle of a busy London.
So are you excited for this release? Do you even care anymore? Where is my Egyptian or “Those That Game Before” set games. Where will 2016’s Assassin’s Creed be set, 1945?, I feel like we are getting closer and closer to present day and that’s just not all that fun.
If your feeling nostalgic about the series why don’t you check out this site over here, they are selling previous AC Games almost for the price of a coffee this week. Yes the site looks a little shady but they use PayPal so it’s safe and you can take my virtual trusting word for it.
