Over-the-Air TV Tuner Available Now for North America

Time to get your tuner on.

One of Microsoft's most requested features for Xbox is the support for over-the-air (OTA) television, now has a peripheral available for territories in North America.

Xbox One owners for both the U.S. and Canada will now be able to pick up the new Hauppauge tuner device for $59.99. With this device you will be able to easier shift through your current antenna’s selection of channels that you are able to receive for free over the air. Yes, the peripheral does not do the channel searching itself but it does categorize everything in an easy-to-navigate menu so that you can quickly shift from channel to channel. It also gives you the ability to pause the live OTA showings for upwards to 30 minutes.

This is further great news for anyone with an Xbox One and wanting to cut the cord. Xbox still does offer some pretty cool apps as services such as SlingTV and the ever-popular apps like Netflix and HBOgo. This definitely adds to bolster the abilities of the Xbox itself.
