Today, Capcom announced that they will making a high definition remaster of Resident Evil Zero, which will be releasing on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One early part of next year.
With the remaster of the original Resident Evil selling over one million units according to Capcom, this only makes sense for them to do Resident Evil Zero as well.
Koji Oda, who was the director for the original release, will work on the remastered version of RE0, as well as many other team members who worked on the original game.
Resident Evil Zero was originally released in 2002 as a GameCube exclusive and then was ported over to the Wii for Japan in 2008 and for North America 2009. Zero served as a prequel to the original Resident Evil game with the player controls Billy Coen and Rebecca Chambers.
These HD remasters from Capcom of the Resident Evil games are a great idea for people like myself who never played these games during their initial release.
There is no specific release date nor price for this remaster. For comparison-sakes the remaster for Resident Evil was $20 upon its release.
