Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Is Real
Xbox One owners received one of their beloved franchises last fall with the Master Chief Collection. Now it is the PlayStation 4 owners to get their due with the release of The Nathan Drake Collection on October 9th. Not only will you get the Uncharted trilogy but there is also a beta for Uncharted 4’s multiplayer available to those who purchase the set.
The collection will only include the single player campaigns; the multiplayer portions from both Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will not be part of this release.
For the collection there are two different pre-order bonuses depending on where you purchase from. If you pre-order the collection you get the Nathan Drake Pack which includes single player skins of Drake outfits as well as the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. If you pre-order Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection on the PS Store you will also get yourself an Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme, which will be available to download instantly.
Fans will have some relief with the scheduling release Uncharted 4. Bluepoint Games is developing the collection so Naughty Dog will be able to continue work for the development of Uncharted 4. For some reference about Bluepoint Games, this is the development team that developed the God of War, The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus & Metal Gear Solid HD Collections, so this is not their first time developing a port of a beloved franchise.
If you never played the Uncharted Trilogy on the PS3 and own a PS4, I highly recommend you pick this collection up as Uncharted is my personal favorite exclusive franchise on the PlayStation. With an average score of 92 on Metacritic it is hard to go wrong with any of these games.
Not that Sony is hurting with console sales, but this will surely boost sales with the PS4s this fall. For me personally buying a PS4 is rather enticing with the announcement of this collection & Uncharted 4 coming out next year.
