Destiny private matches are live now!

With the release of Rise of Iron coming just next week on the 20th, Bungie decided that they’d show some serious fan appreciation today. Today, Bungie hosted a live stream featuring well-known YouTubers and streamers in a Destiny MLG Tournament. As the festivities came to a close Bungie announced that private matches would go live today on Destiny to get guardians excited for Rise of Iron’s imminent release.

It’s important to note that this feature is only accessible on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Bungie made the decision not too long ago to end support for the previous generation and unfortunately for those players this is part of that package.

The features in private matches range from a slew of things like maps, score limits, and light levels. Bungie has also said they’ll be keeping a watchful eye on what maps are used most for private games so they can consider these for more competitive events. They’ve also mentioned keeping tabs on interesting ideas and game modes that the community comes up with so they can put them in the spotlight at some point.

Today’s an exciting day for Destiny players as we finally get the most requested feature by fans since the games release. It’s a great move by Bungie to motivate and excite guardians back to the game as Rise of Iron approaches rapidly this Tuesday.

We here at PBG would like to know if you’re excited about this feature finally arriving on Destiny. Feel free to comment below and you don’t even need to sign up to do so! Thank you again for reading everyone and keep it tuned to PlayBackGaming for all your gaming news, take it easy, everyone.
