Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is believed to be a Metroidvania style of game, much like the Castlevania games were after Symphony of the Night. The game will be presented in a 2.5D style meaning it will feature 3D graphics with 2D movements. Koji Igarashi has stated that he chose to use this style so it would resemble his Castlevania games he worked on while at Konami. If you’re a fan of Metroid, Castlevania or any other exploration-focused action platformers then this game should definitely be on your radar.
